Artist Statement:

From her seaside studio Sarana explores the beauty and nuances held in shared stories, collective and individual identity, with a particular focus on the female experience. Heavily influenced by the joy and challenge of motherhood, her work which is often imbued with a sense of surrender and freedom spans across painting, digital media, ceramics and public art. Her work explores internal landscapes through gestural brush strokes, iconography and written word.
